Overview
Abrasion resistant steel grade that offers more surface hardness than AR400 without compromising ductility and formability.
Surface hardness of 410-490 BNH.
Ideal for moderate-to-heavy wear uses, such as in bucket components, dump body trucks and construction
equipment.
Also referred to as AR450F (formable).
Composition and hardening processes differ between mills. Mill test reports are supplied with each order.

1) A short gauge sample is used in tensile test in Transverse direction.
2) Transverse sample is used in the bending test, d=bending diameter, a=thickness of steel sheet.
3) Charpy V-notch longitudinal sample is used in impact test. The values in the table are required from full size (10x10x55,mm). Not testing Under 6mm thickness .
Application Technology
Cutting
Cutting of Runfei series wear-resistant steel is as simple as cutting regular mild steel. Regarding the actual cutting process, is often even simpler to cut Runfei series wear-resistant steel compared with mild steel due to the cleanness of the steel. However while cutting thick plates of Runfei series wear-resistant steel some attention is needed due to the risk of cut edge cracking. Runfei series wear-resistant steel can be cutted by Oxy fuel cutting, Plasma cutting and Laser cutting.
